In astrology, each zodiac sign (like Aries, Taurus, Gemini, etc.) is divided into three sections, each containing 10 degrees. These sections are called decans (from the Greek word for “ten”).

We finished the 8 of Swords, the 9 of Swords, and are now in the 10 of Swords, in Susie T. Chang’s book, 36 Secrets. She called this the trio: “frustration-Anxiety-Collapse.” The 10 of Swords is often called the worst card in the deck.

It is the 3rd face of Gemini, when everything comes unraveled. It is not always terrible, but it does feel heavy. It is the reaction to a problem, the overkill of a problem. It is the necessary clearing for something new to begin.
